With more than R$1 million in prizes, Almeida Junior launches ‘Promo do Milhão’ campaign
The action will be active for 185 days in the chain’s six shopping malls.

Santa Catarina, April 2021 – Almeida Junior launches the ‘Promo do Milhão’ campaign, which will give more than R$1 million in prizes to customers, starting April 30 to October 29, 2021. The promotion, which will last 185 days, with biweekly prize draws, will be present in the chain’s six shopping malls: Neumarkt and Norte Shopping (Blumenau), Balneário Shopping (Balneário Camboriú), Garten Shopping (Joinville), Continente Shopping (Grande Florianópolis) e Nações Shopping (Criciúma).

The ‘Promo do Milhão’ campaign works as follows: for every R$200 in purchases at participating physical stores, the customer gets a lucky number to compete for biweekly shopping vouchers worth R$10 thousand each, to be used in stores in the chain’s malls. In the months of May, June, and August – commemorating Mothers, Fathers, and Lovers – there will be extra prizes worth R$10,000 per shopping mall The lucky numbers can be cumulative and the minimum age to participate is 18.

For greater security and convenience of customers, this year the company innovates with a 100% digital system of registration and calculations. It’s easy to participate, all the customer has to do is register their receipts through the AJPlace App, select the mall where their purchases were made, and click on the ‘1 milhão em prêmios promotion’ button, available on the main screen of the app. The client’s CPF and date of birth will be requested, and if they are already registered, the information should only be confirmed. The customer must photograph the receipts and will receive the lucky numbers to compete in the federal lottery. All in a very practical and easy way. The announcement of the winners will be made through the social networks of the respective malls and the AJPlace.com.br website.

ALMEIDA JUNIOR SHOPPING MALLS RECEIVE INTERNATIONAL SAFE DESTINATION SEAL

Safety and health care have entered the list of priorities for those who want to travel these days. Knowing in advance if your chosen destination has places that comply with the health measures required to combat COVID-19 is one of the factors that count when choosing a leisure trip. To meet this demand, the State Government launched the Viaje+Seguro SC seal, which certifies enterprises as safe tourism locations.

Recently, the Almeida Junior group’s six shopping malls received this certification. Since the opening of the shopping malls last year, the group has been concerned with ensuring the safety of its visitors. Besides the mandatory measures of mask use, social distancing and availability of alcohol gel, Almeida Junior imported from the United States the SDST sterilizing solution, which allows a prolonged action that treats surfaces eliminating 99.99% of microorganisms. All the touch points in the malls received the application of the product.

Besides the recognition from Santa Catarina, the mall chain also received the Safe Travels international seal, granted by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), which is backed by the World Health Organization (WHO).

ALMEIDA JUNIOR is the winner of the Leaders of Brazil 2020 Award in Santa Catarina. The announcement of the award carried out by LIDE Unidades, was made last night (12/14), in an online ceremony that brought together more than 300 businessmen from all over Brazil. The award is considered the greatest national recognition of the talent, competence and commitment of companies and executives operating in the country, for a better and more competitive Brazil. In the 2020 edition, the award is even more relevant due to the atypical scenario that the world has faced.

ALMEIDA JUNIOR was chosen in Santa Catarina for the launch of a bold and winning project: AJPLACE, the group’s marketplace that brings together tenants from the company’s six shopping malls, in addition to other national and international brands not yet present in SC.

In seven months, the company created and launched AJPLACE, an innovative platform for a marketplace that is already born large and has been preparing to consolidate itself as the largest online platform for shopping mall tenants in southern Brazil.

“Receiving this award in such a challenging year for any company in the world has an even more special meaning. The recognition consolidates our belief that innovation is essential and motivates us to continue this path of doing beyond the obvious”, says the company’s CEO, Jaimes Almeida Junior, who received the award.

Only 16 companies were awarded throughout the country. The companies were chosen by the Management Committee of each LIDE unit, in a remote voting. The committee is composed of business leaders from different sectors of the Brazilian economy.
