Almeida Junior Wins Top One of the ADVB/SC 2021 Top Marketing Awards


AJPLace, the first business marketplace of a shopping center network, was highlighted as promoting convergence between the online and offline worlds.

The AJPLace, the first business marketplace of a shopping center network, was the highlight of the ADVB/SC (Marketing and Sales Heads Association) award ceremony, achieving the Top One prize, the evening’s main event, of Top Marketing 2021. The winners were known on Wednesday, 1, but the evening’s big prize, considered the highlight, was only revealed at the award ceremony that took place yesterday (9) at Centrosul, in Florianópolis. The case named “Marketplace at Almeida Junior Shopping Centers: the Technology Used to Overcome the Pandemic and Take a Step Further, Promoting Convergence Between an Online and Offline World” was the first place in the retail category.
Almeida Junior, the largest shopping center group in Southern Brazil, is responsible for developing the first business platform to service an entire shopping center network. Available for download for iOS and Android devices, in web and app versions, it gathers major stores from six Almeida Junior shopping centers, in addition to international and national brands that are not available in Santa Catarina. Currently, the product catalog backs 220,000 items from different retail segments: fashion, beauty, healthcare, technology and decor.
For the Almeida Junior Digital Marketing Director, Rafael Fiedler, being awarded this prize is the acknowledgment that the group is in the right path to make retail more digital: “It’s in Almeida Junior’s veins to innovate and make the difference, and AJPlace is a proof of that. Receiving this award is a great honor and the confirmation that our efforts are creating results. For 2022, we want to improve even more our clients’ experience in the platform and bring more product options”, the executive says.
The Top Marketing and Sales is the biggest market award in the State of Santa Catarina and awards companies that stood out in the sales, marketing and management areas by using market creativity to reach the top and add value to the company’s brand.

Almeida Junior, the largest shopping mall chain in the south of the country, is the winner of the 2021 Leaders of Brazil Award in Santa Catarina in the category Highlight Digital Transformation Award for the AJPlace case. Held by LIDE SC, the event took place on Wednesday night (24/11), in a face-to-face ceremony. The award seeks to highlight companies and entrepreneurs that faced and overcame the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. AJPlace is the first corporate marketplace for shopping centers in the south of the country. Currently, it gathers products from stores in the six shopping malls in Santa Catarina in the online environment, as well as products from other national and international brands that are not yet present in Almeida Junior malls and in the State. Altogether, there are more than 800 brands gathered on the platform and available for consumers to buy online.

 

For the president of LIDE SC, the award seeks to enshrine the resilience of entrepreneurs and, above all, bring optimism for the resumption of various sectors: “The great symbolism of the award was the engagement of the main leaders of Santa Catarina for the recovery of the economy in 2022”, comments Delton Batista, president of the entity.

 

The LIDE SC award brought together the main managers of the State with the aim of integrating companies, organizations and private entities, through debate programs, business forums and content activities.
