Balneário Shopping will be the first enterprise in Santa Catarina to receive a KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) unit, a North American chain known worldwide for its crispy chicken strips or chicken breast pieces that are served accompanied by various sauces.

 

The chain has more than 23 thousand restaurants distributed in 140 countries. In Brazil, KFC is operated by IMC (International Meal Company) and there are already about one hundred units. This will be the first one in Santa Catarina.

 

KFC was created in 1952 in Kentucky, USA, and the recipe considered its successful case, made from 11 ingredients, is locked in a safe until today. Besides the chicken bucket, which is the main dish on the menu, there are other options such as sandwiches – including Wow Box and Big Box – meals and desserts.

 

Almeida Junior, which is the biggest shopping center chain in the South of the country, brings the brand to Balneário Shopping, which is the company’s iconic mall, to provide a new experience for Santa Catarina residents.

 

The works in Balneário Shopping unit are in full swing and it is preparing to open for the summer.

After opening the first store in Santa Catarina at Continente Shopping, Preçolândia, a São Paulo chain of home appliances, opens this week two more stores in the chain’s malls. On October 8, the unit will be opened at Nações Shopping, in Criciúma, and on the 10th, it will be the turn of Neumarkt Shopping, in Blumenau, to receive a brand store.

 

The stores have 700m² and bring more than 10,000 products, including kitchen, table, decoration, bed, bath and table items, in addition to appliances. Preçolandia was a pioneer in the market in the implementation of weddings and teas gift lists and this service remains one of the company’s flagships.

 

The chain has 45 other stores across the country and has operated in the retail segment for 42 years. The chain’s expansion started in the Northeast two years ago. Currently, Preçolandia is already present in 10 states.

Almeida Junior delivered today (09/22) the ventilators purchased by the company in April and which will be donated to hospitals in the state. In Blumenau, 4 ventilators were delivered to hospitals Santa Isabel, Santa Catarina, Santo Antônio and Hospital Misericórdia Vila Itoupava, on behalf of the Neumarkt and Norte shopping malls.

The company’s CEO, Jaimes Almeida Junior, was personally at the Neumarkt where he made the delivery to the representatives of the city’s hospitals. “I usually say the shopping mall is a private facility with a public soul and this is an important demonstration of Almeida Junior’s social contribution to the Blumenau community,” said Almeida Junior.

“The ventilators came in good time and initiatives like this one from Almeida Junior benefit our hospitals in the region”, highlighted the President of Hospital Santa Catarina Board, Hans Martin Meyer.

Other 8 ventilators will be delivered to the cities of Balneário Camboriú, Joinville, Criciúma and São José throughout this and next week, benefiting a total of 11 hospitals in the state. The ventilators were imported from Germany and are of the Dräger Savina 300 model.
