Worldwide success, Super Bowl will be broadcasted at Continente & Balneário

Always searching for news and entertainment for customers, Continente Shopping and Balneário Shopping will broadcast the Super Bowl final on Sunday, February 2nd. NFL fans will be able to watch the game between Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Francisco 49ers, which will be held in Miami, Florida, in the comfort of Cinépolis and GNC Cinemas.

With a broadcast specially produced for movie theaters, the public will be able to follow the show on a giant screen with high definition, voiceover and exclusive comments for this platform. The sports final became a major event and reached one of the most expensive commercial breaks in the world, where 30 seconds of ads cost an average of US$ 5 million.

Being part of the event at the halftime show also means a lot. This year, the American national anthem singer will be Demi Lovato. For the renowned “halftime show” — which always brings together great bands and international pop stars — singers Shakira and Jennifer Lopez are already confirmed.

Almeida Junior promotes an original holographic action in Southern Brazil

For the first time, Almeida Junior brings to Santa Catarina a retail-oriented 3D hologram technology. Regarded as an innovative product with a futuristic technology, the holographic displays are considered a new technological moment in brand projection. The action will be open to visitation until February 2^nd in Continente Shopping, in the metropolitan area of Florianópolis, and will allow to the clients the experience of visualizing a flying, projected holographic dragon.

The unprecedented initiative of bringing this technology to the Southern Region of the country endorses one of the main values of Almeida Junior: the constancy in innovation. Exhibited in Continente Shopping, the equipment was fitted up by Holoo, a Brazilian representative of 3D holographic displays with technology from the American company Hologruf, and is specialized in assisting segments that vary from the corporative retail to the event branch. A world-wide success, holography has already made possible to pay homage to the legacy of artists such as Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson and Cazuza, who were brought to the stage in a technological fashion.

The hologram is expected to bring life and impact to visual communication, serving as a showcase and as an entertainment to the public, since this technology is based on high-resolution images and LED lines, which rotate faster than the human eyes can perceive.

Fun era: giant dragons are coming

The year starts with major events in Almeida Junior malls. The giants, famous for spitting fire and flying at high speed, will invade Continente Shopping, in Greater Florianópolis, on January 17th. The audience will revive the myth and unravel the mysteries of these great creatures with the Animatronic Dragons International Exhibition. The show is free and can be visited at the mall’s events square until early February. During all exhibition weekends, there will be a different programming.

Some cultures define dragons as supernatural sources of wisdom and strength, others just as destructive beasts. In the exhibition, the largest of the dragons is five meters high and eight meters long. They make sounds, move their tails, wings, upper and lower limbs and some even release smoke through the mouth.

Present in films, books and TV series, dragons awaken the curiosity of adults and children. The audience will get to know the Battle Dragons, Dark Dragon, Earth Dragon, Green Dragon, Guardian Dragon, Red Dragon, Prismatic Dragon, Fangs Dragon and Blue Dragon. Throughout the exhibition, children can still take a special photo for BRL 20.

A kiosk will also sell dragon-themed souvenirs to anyone who wants to take home a souvenir of the event.

January 18 and 19: PotterHead meeting, for Harry Potter fans, with workshops, games, and cosplay contest. Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm. Sunday from 2 pm to 6 pm.

January 25 and 26: Arts workshop – customization of shields and others. From 4 pm to 8 pm.

February 1 and 2: board games and RPG. From 2 pm to 8 pm.

February 8: dragon challenge. SwordPlay. From 2 pm to 8 pm.
