With the Bazar Influenciadores do Bem case, Garten Shopping, a venture of Almeida Junior in Joinville, is a finalist in the Abrasce 2019 Award in the Institutional Campaigns category. More than 100 sponsors, including digital influencers, communicators, retailers, partners, suppliers, and influential people in the city partnered to collect donations and organize a clothing, shoes, and accessories bazaar. The campaign had a first edition in 2018 and the second this year. Together, the two editions sold 4,956 pieces that raised more than R$ 111 thousand. This amount has been reverted to the purchase of 50 new TVs for Dr. Jeser Amarante Faria Children’s Hospital, for children undergoing cancer treatment, and the purchase of 30 new hemodialysis chairs for the Pro Rim Foundation Clinic, which now has ability to perform over 120 appointments per day.
The project is considered a success in Joinville for helping those in need and also involving several people willing to do good. “Being among the finalists of the award shows Almeida Junior’s commitment to promoting actions connected with people and the community,” says Rafael Fiedler, Almeida Junior’s Director of Marketing and Digital.
The Award, granted by the Brazilian Shopping Mall Association, is the most relevant in the shopping mall segment in Brazil, which recognizes and encourages projects developed by shopping malls in the country. Moreover, it reinforces the importance of industry as an agent of transformation of the social, environmental, and economic reality of the country. The winners will be known next September 9, at a ceremony to be held in Sao Paulo.
