Shopping centers generate 2,400 more jobs at the end of the year

The good moment of economic recovery and the injection of resources from the 13th salary and BRL 30 billion of FGTS(SIF) and PIS/Pasep (SIP/AFPS) withdrawals into the economy favor positive sales performance. According to Abrasce (Brazilian Association of Shopping Centers), sales in the malls grew 8% in the year to September, compared to the same period last year. And the entity expects sales to grow 7% in total this year, compared to 2018.

At Almeida Junior shopping centers, optimism is already directly reflected in the hiring of temporary staff. The tenants of the company’s six shopping centers should hire 2,400 more jobs to meet the strong demand at the end of the year. Of these, between 10 and 15% are fixed from the new operations that are opening and the rest is temporary. Many tenants have already hired in November, to meet the intense movement of Black Friday, which took place on November 29 and 30 and December 1. Almeida Junior generates 16 thousand direct jobs in its six developments.
