Last Tuesday, October 15, Continente Shopping hosted the annual meeting of Junior Achievement Santa Catarina supporters, an organization recognized for promoting entrepreneurial education among young people. The event brought together various business leaders and representatives from partner institutions in addition to Almeida Junior, such as Sebrae, WEG, Intelbras, Angeloni, Koerich, Unimed, and CDL, among others. In Santa Catarina, Junior Achievement has been operating since 1997 and has already benefited 840,000 young people, with 20,000 volunteers involved in its programs. Junior Achievement is the world’s largest and oldest organization for practical business education. Created in 1919, it is now present in over 100 countries.
During the meeting, results obtained over the past year were presented, along with the organization’s strategic planning for 2025. Almeida Junior is one of Junior Achievement’s sponsors and carried out activations at the chain’s shopping centers throughout 2024. “Positively transforming people’s lives is one of our greatest purposes, and Junior Achievement also does this through its partners and supporters. Increasingly, Almeida Junior and all these initiatives aim to be a meeting point for experiences, reaffirming the commitment to accomplish more and do more for Santa Catarina,” said Douglas Heinzein, Corporate Marketing Manager at Almeida Junior, at the event’s opening.
“This is the main meeting of the year, where we share results and present our planning. By June 2025, we will reach the milestone of one million young people directly impacted by Junior Achievement in Santa Catarina, a number that fills us with pride. Our role as an organization is to inspire and prepare young people for entrepreneurship and the job market, developing the leaders of the future,” explained Rafael Koerich, president of the Junior Achievement Deliberative Council.
“We value the commitment to encourage entrepreneurship and contribute to the development of future leaders. We believe that by investing in entrepreneurial education, we directly contribute to building a more prosperous and dynamic future, based on valuing human capital and generating positive impact on society,” highlights Rogério Carlos Alves, Corporate Marketing Director at Almeida Junior.
